ConcShearTor calculates shear en torsion reinforcement in rectangular concrete sections, in accordance with Eurocode 2 chapter 6.2 and 6.3. Stirrups are applied as shear reinforcement.
The following data can be entered:
- steel B220, B400, B500
- concrete C20/25 to C50/60
- dimensions of the concrete section, concrete cover
- diameters of the stirrups and longitudinal reinforcement
- VEd, qVEd, TEd, qTEd

The reinforcement is designed with a minimum angle theta of 35° ( EC2-6.2.3 (2)). This is done because a smaller angle would lead to a great amount of longitudinal reinforcement. In case the concrete struts do not satisfy when checked with the angle of 35°, the angle will be enlarged. In case the concrete struts do not satisfy with an angle of 45°, there is no solution possible. The dimensions of the section or the concrete should be adapted.

The length over wich reinforcement is required, is calculated using the values qVEd and qTEd. Depending on the value of the length, 1, 2 or 3 different distances of the stirrups will be calculated. If both qVEd and qTEd are entered 0, the length will not be calculated.
